Our Team

WI-HER is a group of dedicated professionals relentlessly focused on driving locally-led, inclusive practices in international development. More than 75% of our team lives and works in the places where we implement projects—Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean— so the WI-HER team understands the nuances of working in different contexts with women, men, youth, orphans and vulnerable children, the LGBTQIA+ community, hard-to-reach groups, and those in conflict areas. Our multicultural team is comprised of Masters- and Doctoral-credentialed public health, medical, legal, policy, development, and international relations professionals who possess extensive experience working in a broad range of technical and programmatic areas, with proven experience in enabling local led development.
