iDARE™ Toolkit Adopted by the Uganda Ministry of Health

The iDARE™ Toolkit, recently adopted by Uganda’s Ministry of Health, is a comprehensive resource dedicated to improving social and behavior change programs through a more localized approach that incorporates gender, equity, and social inclusion (GESI). This toolkit provides step-by-step guidance for users to effectively address gender, youth, and social inclusion gaps in health-seeking behaviors, which are crucial predictors of health service access and utilization. It enhances the user’s competencies to implement the iDARE methodology by offering detailed steps for locally identifying problems, designing and applying solutions, recording progress, and expanding the lessons sustainability.

This particular iDARE toolkit was applied and used in Uganda in a health setting. iDARE can also be used in other contexts and settings to meet the specific needs of a community or organization.
